I've been writing stories all my life, but only recently had the time to prioritize the compilation of my writing into a book. Many of these tales I've had inside me for many years; some began as stories I told my children for bedtime, and others were unresolved ideas that were silently begging to be brought to fruition.Â
Every writer attempts in some way to make a connection to the reader, since the goal of writing is not just a cathartic outlet but one which attempts to reach inspiration and beauty. All of this is subjective, of course, so the connection to the reader - and the hope that what is written will make someone smile, cry, or just think a little - is the real goal of any writer's exhausting work and introspection.
